In the Beginning

From the intricacies of the human mind to the colorful pages of children’s books, my journey has been one fueled by a lifelong passion for psychology. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I’ve spent years understanding family dynamics which has beautifully complemented my adventure into children’s literature. My stories and characters are crafted with a blend of professional insight and a sprinkle of personal experience, all aimed at delighting and educating young minds.

Growing up, my world was filled with the magic of books—from spine-tingling teen thrillers to enchanting tales like Star Wars and Harry Potter. Though my days are now bustling with the joys and jumbles of motherhood, my love for reading endures, recently veering towards the colorful realms of picture books that I joyously read to my little one.

My Journey from Mom to Picture Book Author

My foray into writing began with the humorous mishaps of potty training my toddler, sparking the creation of my first book, “3 P’s for Potty.” The star of the book, Gia, came to life under my pen, embodying the fun and frustrations of this milestone with a playful twist. My second book, “Food is Fun!” came along because what’s more delightful than exploring the world of tasty treats through Gia’s curious eyes? With colorful illustrations, sight words, and lighthearted rhymes, this book is a great learning tool.

As Gia’s world expanded, so did her circle of friends. In “Are We Friends?” Gia meets Xavier and Iris, characters inspired by childhood companions of mine, crafted to foster tales of friendship and acceptance among little readers.

The seed for “I Love Mom: A Beautiful Gift for Mothers to Treasure” was planted in my thoughts long before it bloomed in Spring 2023. This quote book, brimming with heartfelt tributes from children across the globe to their mothers, was a dream turned reality. As this book warms the hearts of mothers everywhere, I am inspired to continue creating books that celebrate the profound yet simple connections that shape our lives. More touching anthologies are on the horizon, each aiming to capture the essence of familial bonds through the innocent and loving words of children.
